A Little Clari-Tea

{Forgive the title.}

Living on the mission field has a way of simplifying your outlook.

You may find that you are thankful for things you used to take for granted, and that most of the things you used to need were never really needs at all.

You may hold hands with your children and pray prayers that sound like “Please help Tanner and Lily to feel better and please bring back the electricity, so we can make them tea.”

You may hear everyone celebrating when the electricity comes back on just long enough to prepare that tea and toast.

And when the power goes out again, it may not even bother you, because you had time to heat up your second cup of coffee.

Matthew 6:25-34

  1. I love your insights and depth, Aleassa. Thanks for sharing with us.
    Gratitude. For all the little things God gives us. “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God….” giving thanks is God’s will. And joy comes from doing His will. At least, that’s how it is for me.

    1. “Giving thanks is God’s will.” I love that! I’ve never noticed that verse from that perspective before, but it is so true. “Joy” is our family theme this year, we are going to have to incorporate this thought. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
